Heidi knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age, often coming home from school and re-teaching that day’s lessons to her pets, or to anyone who would listen. She began her teaching career in 2000, working in various settings from different elementary and high schools, to private schools, and eventually to the university setting. In 2013 she began teaching meditation with Jivasu and other teachers in Hamilton and Toronto.
In 2003 Heidi became interested in meditation as a way of dealing with chronic pain and anxiety. Through regular practice the suffering lessened and eventually became a source of great transformation. From meditation she has learned, that no matter what is going on in life, we all have tremendous strength and resource that we can tap into. Heidi is currently teaching meditation in Hamilton, Toronto, and Niagara. She lives on a small hobby farm with her husband and enjoys taking care of their many animals.
